Huntsman - At the heart of Savile Row since 1849
Huntsman was founded in 1849 by Henry Huntsman and was originally located just around the corner from our present location in Albermarle Street. After a brief Bond Street sojourn, Huntsman settled into its current Savile Row premises in 1919. Our famous stags’ heads were left here in 1921 by a customer on his way to lunch and have been presiding over events ever since.
The entire bespoke process takes place here on the premises, with the cutting room and workshops at its heart. The comfortable front shop carries our ready to wear collection and accessories range as well as our vast array of cloth bunches from Great Britain and Italy and our exclusive house suitings and tweeds. We carry and display an ample range of sample bespoke pieces too so as to inspire and illustrate our work.
Our women’s bespoke collection is found towards the rear of the shop. It includes samples of our country attire, shirts and blouses to whet the appetite and get the imagination going.
The shop and building is furnished out with rich details and images from our archive. These, together with our workshops and pattern room are available to view upon request.
