Huntsman Tweeds 2014, inspired by a 1961 original
Our 2014 range of exclusive tweeds are inspired by a 1961 Huntsman original cloth, brought to our attention during our recent Gregory Peck exhibition. A sports jacket from the actor’s archive jumped out at us and we knew straightaway that it was a check that we wanted to recreate and elaborate on. Blowing up the original design, we enlarged the check and incorporated our distinctive, iconic accent overchecks. Grounds have been kept earthy and neutral to ensure that each colourway is immensely wearable and the handle of the cloth itself, softer than in the past. Keen to combine luxury with practicality, this year’s tweeds have been woven in lambswool as opposed to Shetland wool, resulting in a softer yet reassuringly British handle.
